Moel y Glo, Llandecwyn
THIS IS FOR DEMONSTRATION USE ONLY. This is a half day stoll from the ffriddoedd above Moel y Glo down the valley to the hamlet of Eisingrug. There are spectacular views and lots of archaeological features to enjoy. We will take Tithe maps with us so that we can see the old field boundaries and understand the significance of some of the old field names.

Date: To be arranged in the spring
Description: This is visit includes a 60 minute, comfortable walk with some gentle slopes. The total time, including a picnic is about 2 hours. We shall walk up to the Bronze Age track way that connects Mochras near Llanbedr with Trawsfynydd and beyond. There is a choice of either a 20 minute walk along the track or a chance to sit by the stream to enjoy the view across the Traeth Bach and Morfa Harlech. Following our picnic, and a chat about the nature of the landscape and nearby field names we will return to the cars, stopping occasionally to view some interesting historic relics. We will then return through the hamlet of Eisingrug to Talsarnau. Meeting point: The lay by on the right hand side of the A496 road from the direction of Maentwrog, a little north of the village or Talsarnau. We shall share cars from here on. Good drivers are needed for the steep hill and narrow road! Meeting time: to be arranged Mornings Leader: Rhian Parry Arrangements: There will be one walk in any one week. The first day with good weather, of the three dates offered will be chosen.
