Workshops
Up one levelA number of workshops have been arranged for 2008-2009. Some of these will be in the Meirionnydd Archives in Dolgellau, a few may be held in local libraries and at Plas Tan y Bwlch, Maentwrog. In each workshop we are taking advantage of an expert to help us. You will see below some typical workshop subjects in 2008. Some show us useful skills for researching information. Others introduce new subjects. All workshops are for beginners. Groups will be small (about12) and we will hold separate workshops in Welsh and English. Priority is given to Members but others are also welcome. If you are not successful in getting a place, there may well be repeated sessions, so don't give up!
Learning to read and understand the 1420 contents of the 'Record of Caernarvon'.
Susan Passmore will help us to read and understand the language used in these records. We should then be able to follow and trail some of the ancient names to the present day. This workshop is for beginners and will be in English.
