Societies
There are several active local history societies and groups in Ardudwy. Members of these groups ensure that important local knowledge about the cultural heritage of Ardudwy, based on memories of their local area, is not being lost forever.
Several groups and individuals are carrying out further investigations with the support of the project, which will extend and record this knowledge. For example, recording 'Spoken history' in Harlech and the mapping of field names in Nanmor, Croesor, Llanfrothen and Llanelltyd. Cymdeithas Hanes Bro Ffestiniog has done substantial work, recording and conserving local names, over many years.
They produce an annual magazine, 'Rhamant Bro' which includes priceless information about the history of the area.
The meetings and the magazine are in Welsh.
